Study abroad Brazil, 2007

I am going back someday. :(

Monday, November 06, 2006

All right, looks like I've got most of this blogger stuff figured out.

So here's the vital stats on my trip so far.

Location: Sao Paulo, Brazil.
University: Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Sao Paulo.
Course of study: Liberal arts, art history with a heavy emphasis on history.
Departure to Brazil: Jan 4, 2007
Return from Brazil: July 2, 2007
Ballpark cost: $15,000
I have my: acceptance from CIEE, passport, immunizations, clean bill of health, extra glasses, and a $3,000 scholarship from the Honors College (thank you!).
I have to get my: remaining CIEE paperwork turned in, more paperwork from CIEE and my background check so I can go to the Brazilian consulate in Chicago to get my Visa, UWM acceptance and financial aid info, UW system insurance, luggage, laptop.

And now it's time to actually study for French instead of just talking about it, so I'll type up my impression of the immunization process later.

Oh, and. "Bom dia, brinde" means "Good day, toast" in Portuguese. I am hilarious.

woohoo

I should be studying for my French test but I'm screwing around with my website instead. Hopefully I'll have this up and running in around 15 minutes.
Yeah, right.
